
BayBears Sinon named Southern League's trainer of the year

Mobile, Ala. â The Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs announced Tuesday that Mobile BayBears trainer Will Sinon was named the 2003 Southern League Trainer of the Year. The award, which is given by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers' Society (PBATS), is voted on by all of the trainers in the League.
Will Sinon is currently in his 6th season as a trainer in the San Diego Padres organization and his first with the Mobile BayBears. He began his Padres' career in Rookie-level Peoria in 1998 and 1999. He spent the 2000 season with Pioneer League champion Idaho Falls in 2000 before spending the 2001 and 2002 seasons with the Fort Wayne Wizards in the Midwest League.
A native of San Diego, CA, Will is a Certified Athletic Trainer with NATA and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with NSCA.
"The Mobile BayBears would like to congratulate Will on this great honor," said Mobile BayBears' General Manager Bill Shanahan. "Will has performed a great job this season and we look forward to watching him move up the ladder and soon make it to the show."
Will Sinon graduated from the University of La Verne with a degree in Physical Education. While at La Verne, Sinon played soccer all four years. Sinon resides in Ladera Ranch, CA with his wife Amy.
