Syracuse, NY (March 14, 2002) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have released defenseman Blaine McCauley from his P.T.O.
McCauley, 26, has appeared in four games with the Crunch this season recording 23 penalty minutes. In 53 games with Dayton (ECHL), McCauley has recorded three goals, four assists and 292 penalty minutes. A native of Georgetown, Ontario, McCauley signed his second P.T.O. with Syracuse on March 10, 2002.
The Crunch returns to action on Friday night against the Mighty Ducks for a 7:30 p.m. Friday night is Jody Shelley Bobble Head Night II, courtesy of BlueCross BlueShield of CNY. The first 1,000 children (12 and under) will receive a voucher for a bobble head that can be redeemed in between periods and after the game.
