
Mayhem Welcome Four Key Players Back from ECHL Loans

MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem announced Thursday that forward Jake Trask, forward/defenseman Daniel Gentzler, defenseman Brandon Pfeil and forward Stathis Soumelidis have returned from loan to the ECHL.
Trask, Gentzler and Pfeil were all loaned to the Atlanta Gladiators on Tuesday and played for the Gladiators on Tuesday night against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. All three were in Atlanta's starting lineup alongside center Stephen Pierog and defenseman Eric Shand, who remain on loan with the Gladiators. Gentzler tallied a goal and an assist in the game, while Pfeil was plus-two and Trask was plus-one.
Soumelidis, 24, returns to Macon after an eight-game stint with the Adirondack Thunder, in which he recorded one assist and 10 penalty minutes. Soumelidis was enjoying a breakout season with the Mayhem prior to his call-up, as he had 12 goals, 14 assists and 26 points over 26 games for the team.
