Mayhem to Aid Robbery Victim

2015 didn't end on the best of notes for longtime Macon hockey volunteer Darlene Conyer.
Conyer, was recently the victim of a robbery at her place of employment. When leaving Ole Times Country Buffet in Gray she was approached by two men who robbed her and shot her in the hip. Fortunately, Conyer is on the mend and has been able to walk around.
To help her with her recovery, the Macon Mayhem will have a donation jar set up at the Fan Information Center/Kroger Chuck A Puck table in the front lobby of the Macon Coliseum. The Mayhem host the Louisiana Ice Gators Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and the Columbus Cottonmouths Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Doors open one hour before each game.
"A lot of our fans know Darlene from her association with Macon hockey teams through the years and they are all rooting for her in a full recovery. This will give everybody a chance to help her out," Mayhem president Mark Richards said.
