Ice Flyers to Host Social Media Night on Saturday

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers will host their first ever Social Media Night on Saturday, Jan. 2, when they face the Columbus Cottonmouths with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
There will be multiple promotions and contests throughout the game including two different Twitter contests. In the Tweet Your Seat contest, there will be one winner per period to win an Ice Flyers prize pack. Beginning at 6 p.m., fans can tweet to @PcolaIceFlyers their section, row, and seat for a chance to win. Winners will have their tickets verified before receiving their prize.
There will also be a Tweet and Meet contest in which 10 lucky winners will get the chance to meet the full team prior to the players returning to the ice for the post-game skate with fans. To enter the Tweet and Meet contest, fans can tweet their favorite Ice Flyers memory or photo to @PcolaIceFlyers and use #IFTweetAndMeet beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
During the night, there will be periodic broadcasts on Periscope as well as photos and videos of fans posted on the team's Snapchat. Following the game, we'll conduct quick interviews with some of the players and broadcast via Periscope.
Fans are also encouraged to post photos on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook and tag the team in the caption as well as use #IceFlyers. Early next week, the Ice Flyers will compile the photos from the three platforms and put them in one photo album on Facebook and fans are encouraged to tag themselves in the photos.
At the request of Sacred Heart Hospital, Teddy Bear Toss has been moved from the Jan. 2nd game to the Saturday, Feb. 13 game. That night will now be Blue Wahoos and Teddy Bear Toss Night.
