MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kerr announced on Tuesday that the team has traded defenseman Kristaps Nimanis to the Knoxville Ice Bears to complete the trade in which Macon acquired forward Chris Izmirlian.

Nimanis, a member of the Mayhem's 2016-2017 President's Cup Champion team, has played 16 games this season, recording two points and a plus-two rating. He was signed on the last day of the season by the Mayhem last year, and he recorded one assist over eight games between the regular season and the playoffs. The 24-year-old, Latvian-native has three goals, nine assists and 12 points over 52 career SPHL games.
