Mavericks Continue Partnership with the City of Independence

Independence, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks announced Thursday the Central Hockey League (CHL) team is continuing their partnership with the City of Independence. The City of Independence and the Mavericks have built a valuable partnership over the past four years and are excited to make the fifth season even better.

This year the City of Independence debuted their new slogan and symbol, "Real People. Real Progress." The Mavericks have incorporated the colors and will proudly display the symbol throughout the season.

"It's a privilege to have a public-private partnership," said Brent Thiessen, President of the Missouri Mavericks. "We are proud to call Independence home and look forward to another great season with a city dedicated to Real People, Real Progress and Real Hockey."

"It is such an honor to have a partnership between the City of Independence, our very own hockey team, as well as our Mavericks fans," said Cori Day, Director of Tourism for the City of Independence. "It is a win-win-win situation---a hat trick!"

The Missouri Mavericks will host their fourth annual Fan Fest on Sat., Sept. 21 at Independence Events Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Mavericks will begin their fifth season of play in the CHL in October. Season tickets are on sale now. With season tickets starting at just over $11 per game and FREE parking, the Mavericks are the pinnacle of family affordable entertainment.
