
Matrix opens season with win

Montreal, Canada. The ABA Montreal Matrix basketball team opened its inaugural season with a victory over the Harlem Strong Dogs 108-96. Manix Auriantal, Matrix' point guard scored the first points in the history of the Montreal team and led the team with 25 points. Other scores for the team were Quilninious Randall with 24 points and Bobby Miller with 13 points.
According to coach Pascal Jobin, "The Matrix started the game very aggressively with a series of quick field goals, taking a 9-0 lead over the Strong Dogs and at one point, our lead was 20." The Matrix shot 49% from the floor and made 30% of their three point shots.
