Mathieu Corbeil Reassigned to Mavericks, Simoes Activated

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks announced Thursday goaltender Mathieu Corbeil has been reassigned to the Mavericks by the team's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. Missouri also announced defenseman David Simoes has been activated from injured reserve.

Corbeil has appeared in nine games with the Mavericks and has a 3-6 mark with a 2.79 goals-against average and .908 save percentage. He will join the team in Rapid City for the Mavericks' games this weekend.

Simoes missed the last six games due to injury and hasn't played since December 28 in Wichita. He has six points (1-56) and 30 penalty minutes in 29 games played this season.

The Mavericks head to Rapid City to take on the Rush for a pair of games this weekend before returning home for games on January 25 and 26.
