Tacoma Defiance (4-4-4, 13 points) hosts New Mexico United (6-6-3, 21 points) on Sunday afternoon at Cheney Stadium (1:30 p.m. PT / ESPN+) in the lone scheduled meetings of the season between the two sides. Tacoma is unbeaten in five matches at home in 2021, most recently earning a 2-1 result over San Diego Loyal SC on Thursday.

Defiance's 2-1 win on Thursday over San Diego was fueled by a goal and assist from Azriel Gonzalez, in addition to a goal from Carlos Anguiano. New Mexico sits third in the Mountain Division of the Western Conference, while Defiance is tied for fourth in the Pacific Division.
