"The Scorpions won the title last year, but haven't gotten off to a good start. They need the points as much as we do and that calls for a difficult game," said RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke. "We haven't picked up three points since the beginning of the season and we are focused on getting them next Saturday in San Antonio."
The RailHawks played Tampa Bay Rowdies in a 1-1 draw last week at WakeMed Soccer Park. Nacho Novo scored in the 6th minute to give the home side the early lead, but the Rowdies quickly responded with a goal of their own. The remainder of the match was a hard-fought, physical battle, but neither team was able to capitalize on their chances.
The San Antonio Scorpions are coming off of a 2-1 loss at Jacksonville Armada FC. They are still in search of their first win of the season and sit in last place of the NASL Spring Season standings. The RailHawks are currently in sixth place.
The Carolina RailHawks will return to WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, May 16th when they host rival New York Cosmos.
RailHawks Notes:

RailHawks Goalkeeper Brian Sylvestre will join MLS' Philadelphia Union on loan ahead of their weekend matchup against Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night. At the same time, the RailHawks announced the signing of former Rider University Goalkeeper Matt Perrella to a short-term contract.
Who to Watch
