Match Preview: New York Red Bulls at Colorado Rapids for Saturday Night Matchup

HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls head to Colorado this weekend for a Saturday night matchup with the Rapids.

Kickoff at Dick's Sporting Goods Park is set for 9 p.m. ET, with coverage on MSG and the Red Bulls Radio Network. The MSG broadcast gets underway at 8:30 p.m. with Red Bulls Game Night, hosted by Tina Cervasio. Steve Cangialosi and Shep Messing will call the action.

Matt Harmon hosts Countdown to Kickoff on Red Bulls Radio, also starting at 8:30 p.m. Harmon will call the game in English for Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn, while Ernesto Motta provides Spanish play-by-play for Red Bulls Radio and MSG via the SAP button.

Both teams traveled after midweek matchups. The Red Bulls head straight to Denver after a 2-0 setback in San Jose, while Colorado earned a 2-1 road win at Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday night.

The New York Red Bulls are 15-17-7 all-time against the Rapids, including a 6-10-3 record in Colorado. It will be New York's first trip to the Mile-High City since 2013. New York is winless in its last five trips to Dick's Sporting Goods Park (0-4-1) with the last win coming in 2007.

Colorado enters at 3-2-1, with a 2-0-0 mark at home in 2016. Luis Solignac leads the Rapids with two goals thus far, while Marco Pappa has a goal and three assists to his name.

Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles tied an MLS record on Wednesday night, starting and playing a full 90 minutes for the 112thconsecutive league match. With a start and complete game played in Colorado, Robles would overtake Kevin Hartman for the longest such streak in MLS history.

After Saturday, New York returns home to host Orlando City SC on Sunday, April 24. It will be Wings for Life Night at Red Bull Arena, and the club will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of its inaugural home match. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., with coverage on Fox Sports 1, Fox Deportes, and the Red Bulls Radio Network on TuneIn.
