Houston Dynamo FC News Release
Dynamo D David Horst scored in the first minute of his 100th career MLS start, but four unanswered goals led the LA Galaxy to a 4-1 win over the Houston Dynamo Friday at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Galaxy M Giovani dos Santos scored twice and added an assist while Baggio Husidic and Gyasi Zardes added goals for the visitors.
Horst scored in the first minute on a well-taken Dynamo corner kick. MF Cristián Maidana tapped a short pass to MF Andrew Wenger, who returned the ball to Maidana for a quick pass to MF Alex Lima at the corner of the penalty area. The Brazilian lofted a pinpoint cross to the back post and Horst rose unmarked to head home the third-fastest regular-season goal in Dynamo history.
It was Horst's second goal of the season, a new career-high.
Next up, the Dynamo open a two-game road trip with a visit to Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, April 23. The match will be broadcast live on The KUBE, channel 57.
