Louisville City FC News Release

Louisville, KY (June 8, 2015) - In the club's first trip to Canada, Louisville City FC (4-1-5, 19 points) will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak to seven when they travel to face FC Montreal (1-7-1, 4 points) in Stade Saputo at 6:30 PM Wednesday.

City has not played since their 1-1 draw with Saint Louis on May 30th. It was a match that saw Louisville draw first blood for the ninth time in all 12 matches. A well placed header from Kadeem Dacres, set up by a beautiful diagonal ball from Charlie Adams put the hosts in front 1-0, but they could not sustain the lead. A Charles Renken goal late in the contest leveled things, and City had to settle for their fourth 1-1 draw of the season.

Montreal were in action this past weekend, taking their fourth point of 2015 thanks to a 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls II. A Victor Ndiaye equalizer in the 90th minute secured the point for the home side. It was only the second time all season Montreal had gotten any points out of a match. The other being a 1-0 win over the Charleston Battery back on May 14th.

Both the win and the recent draw came at Stade Saputo, where Louisville City will look to climb within two points of third place, and create more separation between themselves and the playoff line.

Louisville City FC fans not making the trip to Montreal can watch the match on YouTube, or join their fellow fans at Against the Grain for the match watch party.
