CHARLOTTE, NC (June 8, 2015) - The Charlotte Independence today announced that the June 13 home match originally scheduled to be played at Ramblewood Soccer Complex will instead take place at Winthrop University's Eagle Field.

Construction began on the temporary Ramblewood Stadium last week, but the facility is not guaranteed to receive its ADA compliance approval by Saturday and the quality of the pitch surface has not improved to the team's liking. The entire Independence organization sincerely apologizes for the delay. However, construction and field grass treatment is on track for Ramblewood Stadium to be opened June 20.

"Our new stadium is progressing very nicely and all the primary infrastructure will be up by this weekend," said Independence President Jim McPhilliamy. "But we want to make sure our first game there is us putting our best foot forward. At this point, there are still a lot of small details we just weren't sure were going to be ready by Saturday night. It's best to wait one more week to ensure everything is optimal for both our fans and our players."

Individual tickets for June 13 will go on sale Tuesday morning, with a general admission price of $12.00 if purchased in advance online and $15.00 if purchased at the Box Office Saturday evening.

All season-ticket holder accounts will be adjusted to reflect a $10.00 ticket price for June 13. Accounts will automatically be credited the price difference. This credit can be applied to individual game tickets, future friendlies and/or 2016 season tickets.

Kickoff for the June 13 match against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Eagle Field is scheduled for 7:00pm. Lots will open at 3:00pm for tailgating and parking will cost $5.00 per car.
