Storylines
Now Starting for the Chicago Red Stars...: Three Red Stars rookies made their first professional starts for the club last game, with Mikenna McManus making her first official appearance as a professional. All three made their presence felt with Ava Cook and Sara Griffith taking two shots each and McManus attempting two crosses into the Louisville 18-yard box.
New Look Back Line: A back line featuring Mikenna McManus, Tatumn Milazzo, Zoe Morse, Kayla Sharples and Arin Wright accounted for 24 possessions won and nine aerial duels won. The line also stepped up when facing pressure from Louisville's attack and helped the team secure a point in the Challenge Cup.
Well Known Foes: The Red Stars picked up a 3-1 win over the Dash in Houston to open this year's Challenge Cup. Chicago has never lost a home match to Houston (W5 D4), winning four of the last five meetings at SeatGeek Stadium.
