Match Preview: Atlanta United vs. Nashville SC

ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action Saturday when it travels to face Nashville SC at Geodis Park. The match is set to kick-off at 1:45 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, FOX and FOX Deportes, while fans can also tune-in to radio calls on 92.9 The Game and La Mejor.

Atlanta holds an all-time record of 3-3-3 against Nashville SC in MLS play: 2-1-1 at home and 1-2-2 on the road in the series. This is the first meeting between the clubs this season as Atlanta will host Nashville at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sept. 14. The teams split a pair of matches in 2023 as each side won at home, with Nashville winning 3-1 on April 29 and Atlanta winning the most recent meeting 4-0 on Aug. 26.

Through 12 matches Atlanta ranks in the top-10 in MLS in fewest goals conceded (15, tied for eighth) and total shots on target faced (55, seventh).

On the attacking side, Atlanta ranks fourth in both expected goals with 24.39 and shot creating actions per match with 27.09.

Seven Atlanta United squads will take the pitch on Saturday, May 18 as a part of the Atlanta United Equinox. The day's slate kicks off with Atlanta United's U-17 squad facing off against Orlando City's U-17s at 9 a.m. ET and can be streamed HERE. Atlanta United's First Team will then take the pitch against Nashville SC at Geodis Park at 1:45 p.m. ET before Atlanta and Nashville's Unified Teams face off following that match. A live stream for the Unified match can be found HERE. ATL UTD 2 will round things out against Huntsville at 8:00 p.m. ET. Atlanta United's U-15s, U-14s and U-13s will also play during Saturday's Equinox.
