ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action Wednesday night against expansion side Inter Miami CF at Inter Miami CF Stadium in Fort Lauderdale for the first ever meeting between the clubs. The match will be televised on FOX Sports South at 8 p.m. ET and transmitted on Sports Radio 92.9 The Game.

Since joining MLS in 2017, Atlanta holds a 5-1-1 record against expansion sides, outscoring their opponents 21-5.

Atlanta defeated Nashville SC 2-0 Saturday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium behind two goals from Pity Martínez. The Argentine midfielder is one of eight players in club history to record a brace in a match. Across all competitions, Atlanta's record is 24-1-3 in matches where a player scores a brace.

Brad Guzan recorded his 37th MLS clean sheet with Atlanta on Saturday, which is tied for the league lead since the start of 2017 (MLS Regular Season and Playoffs).

Atlanta enters the match ranked third in MLS in team passing accuracy at 85.32 percent and fourth in possession at 56.77 percent.

Stephen Glass became the 15th MLS interim head coach to win his first match in charge and will face former Monterrey manager Diego Alonso on Wednesday, who is 1-5-0 in his first MLS season with Inter Miami CF.

Inter Miami CF is coming off its first victory in club history with a 3-2 win against Orlando City SC on Aug. 22. Julian Carranza scored twice and Rodolfo Pizarro tallied his team-leading third goal of the season in the team's first match at Inter Miami CF Stadium.
