ATLANTA - Atlanta United returns to action Tuesday when it travels to face Charleston Battery at Patriots Point Soccer Stadium in the Round of 16 of the U.S. Open Cup. The match is set to kick-off at 7 p.m. ET and will be streamed on ussoccer.com, while fans can also tune-in to radio calls on 92.9 The Game and La Mejor.

Tuesday's match will be the fourth-ever meeting between the two clubs In U.S. Open Cup play with Atlanta holding a 3-0 record, with each win coming at Fifth Third Stadium. The two sides last met in 2019 as Atlanta defeated the Battery 3-1 in extra time on its run to winning the U.S. Open Cup. Overall, the club has an all-time record of 9-4 in the competition.

Atlanta was one of eight MLS teams and 95 total clubs from all levels of soccer in the United States to participate in this year's tournament, the 109th edition of the U.S. Open Cup.

Atlanta defeated Charlotte Independence 3-0 in the Round of 32 on May 7 at Fifth Third Stadium with a brace from Nick Firmino and a goal from Daniel Ríos.

Charleston currently sits in first place in the USL Championship with a 8-0-3 record and advanced to the Round of 16 with a 3-2 win against South Georgia Tormenta FC on May 8 behind a hat trick from forward MD Myers.
