ATLANTA - Atlanta United 2 will face North Carolina FC Saturday night at WakeMed Soccer Park. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7:00 p.m. EST and can be seen live on ESPN+.

ATL UTD 2 travels to Cary, North Carolina for its second meeting this season against North Carolina FC. Atlanta won 2-1 on April 13 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium when Jackson Conway scored the game-winner for his first professional goal.

Atlanta played to a 2-2 draw with Charlotte Independence in a mid-week match on Wednesday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Bienvenue Kanakimana supplied both goals for ATL UTD 2 which also marked his first two goals for the club. After falling behind 1-0 in the 27th minute, the 19-year-old forward from Burundi scored twice in 10 minutes to hand Atlanta the lead just before the half. Charlotte later tied the match from a set piece in the 72nd minute.

North Carolina FC returns home after a 1-0 loss to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Highmark Stadium last Saturday, July 20. Robbie Mertz scored the lone goal in the 27th minute to give Pittsburgh the win. North Carolina has yet to lose at home this season with a record of 5-0-4.

Atlanta will be without captain Jack Metcalf after he picked up a red card against Charlotte on Wednesday. ATL UTD 2 will also be missing Jackson Conway, Jose Hernandez and Laurence Wyke due to yellow card accumulation.
