ATL UTD 2 returns to Kennesaw following a 2-0 loss at Ottawa on April 28. Fury FC scored in each half as Atlanta was shutout for just the third time this season despite taking 10 shots. After missing more than a month due to a hamstring injury, defender Tyler Ruthven returned to the starting lineup in his first appearance since the season opener against Hartford on March 9.

Nashville played to a 2-2 draw against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC April 27 at Highmark Stadium. Kenneth Tribbett scored in the 41st minute and Bradley Bourgeois doubled Nashville's lead in the 66th. However, Pittsburgh found two late goals when Christian Volesky cut the deficit in half in the 88th, followed by a Kosuke Kimura own goal in the 90+1 minute to equalize. The point put Nashville above the playoff line with 11 points, one ahead of five other teams, including Atlanta.

ATL UTD 2 has yet to defeat Nashville, falling in each of the teams' three matchups last season.
