READING, Pa. - Behind a three-hit, four-RBI day by Jason Martin and another strong start by Dario Agrazal, the Altoona Curve beat the Reading Fightin Phils, 7-1, on Sunday afternoon at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Curve (18-15) won two of the three games in the rain-shortened road series against the Fightin Phils (12-20).

Agrazal (Win, 3-0) struck out a season-high seven over six innings and allowed one run on four hits and one walk. His ERA for the season climbed to 1.30.

Martin became the first Curve player this season to drive in four runs in a single game, starting with a two-run homer in the first inning to open an early 2-0 lead.

Later in the first, Logan Hill drove his team-leading fifth home of the year, a two-run shot to left, to open a 4-0 lead against Reading starter Harold Arauz (Loss, 3-1).

Reading scored its only run in the fourth inning on a solo homer by Kyle Martin, one of just four hits for the Fightin Phils in the game.

In the top of the fifth, Jason Martin drove in two runs with a single to stretch the Curve lead to 6-1. He finished the day 3-for-4 with a walk, raising his average for the season to .346.

Will Craig worked a bases-loaded walk in the seven inning to bring in Cole Tucker, but Reading reliever Alexis Rivero retired the next two batters to limit the damage.

Jake Brentz worked around a walk in the seventh to post a scoreless frame, and Yeudy Garcia struck out three over two scoreless innings to finish the game.

Over his last five games, Martin is hitting .600 (12-for-20) with two homers, eight RBIs, two walks and seven runs scored for the Curve.

The Curve return home to open a three-game series against the Flying Squirrels on Monday night. Right-hander Nick Kingham is scheduled to start for Altoona, opposed by Richmond righty Cory Taylor (4-1, 4.73). First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Peoples Natural Gas Field.

Monday is Mitsubishi Monday, and fans can stop by Five Star Mitsubishi in Altoona to pick up free Grandstand tickets for Monday's game.
