Marlies And Admirals Square Off With Calder Cup Title On The Line

What You Need To Know About The Toronto Marlies...

- Toronto has posted a record of 11-2 in the 2012 Calder Cup Playoffs

- Ben Scrivens continues to lead the AHL in playoff goals against average (1.61), save percentage (0.944) and shutouts (3)

- 2011/12 marks the second time that a Toronto Maple Leafs' affiliate has advanced to the Calder Cup Final Series (St. John's - 1991/92)

- Norfolk and Toronto have never played one another (regular season and playoffs included)

- Matt Frattin leads the AHL in playoff goals (10) and game winning goals (3)

-The Marlies continue to lead the AHL in playoff penalty kill percentage (95.1%), having allowed just three goals in 61 shorthanded situations

-Jerry D'Amigo continues to lead the AHL in playoff plus/minus (+13)

- Six of Toronto's seven home playoff games have had crowds of over 6,000 fans. The only Marlies loss on home ice came in front of 4,934 fans against Abbotsford in round two

- The Marlies are undefeated when scoring three or more goals in the 2012 playoffs

Last Week: The Toronto Marlies defeated the Oklahoma City Barons four games to one in the AHL's Western Conference Final. The Marlies won game four of the series by a score of 3-0 at Ricoh Coliseum.

Philippe Dupuis registered the game winning goal just over halfway through the first period. Ben Scrivens made 30 saves for the shutout.

Toronto clinched the series with a 3-1 win in game five on Friday night at Ricoh Coliseum. Matt Frattin had two goals and Simon Gysbers netted the game winning goal just over eight minutes into the third period. Goaltender Ben Scrivens stopped 26 of 27 shots for the win.

Look Ahead:

The Norfolk Admirals posted the top record in the AHL during the 2011/12 regular season, with a total of 113 points in 76 games.

The Admirals finished the regular season winning 28 consecutive games.

Forward Cory Conacher led the offense for the Admirals during the regular season, registering 80 points (39 g, 41a) in 75 games.

Conacher became just the fourth rookie to win the AHL's most valuable player award.

Dustin Tokarski has led the way in net for the Admirals during the post-season. In the 10 games he has played, he holds a record of 8- 2, with two shutouts. He is second only to Toronto goaltender Ben Scrivens in both playoff goals against average and save percentage.
