(Windsor) Spitfires defenseman Mark Cundari is the Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff for the week ending Sunday, November 16, 2008. Cundari had two points in two games and anchored the Spitfires defensive corps last week, leading the team to a perfect 2-0 record.
Cundari registered two assists in Windsor's 5-2 victory over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on November 14th. The next night, he did not record a point but put forth a solid defensive effort in the Spitfires 4-3 shootout win over the Saginaw Spirit.
The 18 year-old Woodbridge, Ontario native has 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points with a plus-10 plus/minus rating, in 19 games played this season. Cundari was signed to an NHL contract with the St. Louis Blues earlier this season.
