Marco Wieser Named Fine Jewelry Outlet Player of the Month

Prior to Thursday night's game against the Wichita Falls Wildcats, it was announced that goaltender Marco Wieser was the recipient of the first Fine Jewelry Outlet Player of the Month award for his efforts through the first 16 games of the 2010-11 NAHL season.

The Villach, Austria native played in 12 of Corpus Christi's first 16 games on the season compiling a 4-7-1 record with a 3.63 GAA and a .902 save percentage.

One of the holdovers from the former Alpena IceDiggers, Wieser tallied 45 saves during a hard-fought 2-1 overtime loss in Wichita Falls on October 15th.

He currently leads the entire NAHL with three shootout victories and has stopped 10 of 13 shots in shootouts this season.

In recognition of Wieser's strong play in between the pipes for the IceRays, Fine Jewelry Outlet presented the netminder with a watch prior to the game.

Fine Jewelry Outlet is located at 5858 South Padre Island Drive #41 in Corpus Christi.

The IceRays and Wildcats meet again on Friday night at 7:05 PM at the American Bank Center.
