Warriors blank TC, 4-0

Traverse City North Stars News Release

FLINT - The Traverse City North Stars suffered a 4-0 shutout at the hands of host Michigan on Friday at Perani Arena, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. The Stars put 37 shots on Warriors goalkeep Robert Tadazak, but couldn't light the lamp, falling to 9-5-1.

Traverse City reached double-digits in shots in each period, but went 0-for-4 on the powerplay while surrendering a pair to Michigan (9-7-1).

"It was a total team effort tonight - or lack thereof," quipped Stars head coach/GM Anthony Palumbo. "We didn't compete, we didn't play well, and consequently we didn't win."

The hosts tallied late in the first period, added two more in the first 2:44 of the second, and capped the scoring midway through the final stanza. Scott Henegar registered a pair for Michigan - which relocated to Flint this year from Marquette.

The teams will wrap their weekend series on Saturday night at Perani, with face-off slated for 7 p.m.
