Marco Nascimento Named to MASL Team of the Week

The MASL has announced that Blast defender Marco Nascimento has been named to the MASL Team of the Week for week 18.

This is Nascimento's first Team of the Week honor. Nascimento had one goal and one assist in the wins over Milwaukee and Florida this weekend, while helping to contain both offenses on the way to securing the Blast home-field advantage in the Eastern Conference.

Joey Kapinos, Pat Healey, Jonatas Melo, Andrew Hoxie, and Juan Pereira were named honorable mentions. Kapinos went 2-0 while stopping 21 of 34 shots this weekend. Healey recorded one assist and 5 blocks in the two games. Melo had three goals and Hoxie recorded four goals and two assists on the weekend. Pereira totaled three goals and one assist, including the game-tying and game-winning goals against Florida on Saturday.
