Tacoma Stars Midfielder Jamael Cox

Tacoma, WA - Tacoma Stars midfielder Jamael Cox was named to the MASL Team of the Week for week 18 of the 2017-18 season on Tuesday. He becomes the fifth different Tacoma player to be handed the honor this season, joining Alex Megson, Alain Matingou, Danny Waltman, and Nick Perera.
"The Tacoma Stars were playing for their playoff lives in Week Eighteen. The Stars needed a win to shift the momentum to their side and give themselves an opportunity to control their own playoff destiny. Cox scored three goals to help his team do just that in their 8-6 win over the Ontario Fury" said the MASL league office.
Cox has appeared in 16 games this season for the Stars and has 18 points including 13 goals and five assists.
The Stars wrap up the regular season next Friday March 2 at 7:35 pm against the Kansas City Comets. It's Fan Appreciation Night with hundreds of prizes to be given out during the game. Don't miss this one!
