Bradenton Marauders News Release
VIERA, FL - The Bradenton Marauders, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, saw the finale of their season series with the Brevard County Manatees wiped away due to inclement weather Monday night. Continued rain and lighting in the area led umpires Jonathan Bailey and Nic Lentz to call the game. With the teams not scheduled to play again this year, the game is cancelled and will not be made up.
Having won all seven previous games played between the two teams, the Marauders secure their first season sweep over an opponent. The best Bradenton did last year was 7-1 against the Clearwater Threshers. The Marauders outscored Brevard 23-2 over the last three games at Space Coast Stadium.
Bradenton will return to action Wednesday night at McKechnie Field. It's a 7:00pm start against the Fort Myers Miracle. Radio coverage begins at 6:45 on 1280-AM WTMY. For ticketing information call 941-747-3031 or visit online at BradentonMarauders.com.
