Marauders Inch within Game of First by Doubling Dunedin

Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (18-10, 50-48) are just a game out of first place after a 6-3 win over Dunedin (11-17, 43-55) at McKechnie Field on Thursday night. RF Harold Ramirez had another huge game at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a go-ahead two-run home run off Albero Tirado (L, 4-2) in the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie.

RHP Frank Duncan (W, 7-5) worked seven strong innings to earn his second straight winning decision.

Duncan leads the team in innings pitched and strikeouts and is second in wins. RHP Montana DuRapau earned his third save by picking up the final six outs.

2B Erich Weiss had an RBI double to help fuel the Bradenton offense.

NOTES: The game began at 6:34 p.m. under cloudy skies, 87 degrees, and wind blowing 14 mph out to center ... Harold Ramirez is batting .565 with two outs and runners in scoring position; Bradenton as a team is particularly good in those situations, sporting five batters hitting over .300 and a team average of .266...Frank Duncan has completed seven innings in four of his last five starts ...
