
Marauders Earn Series Split with Lakeland 4-2

Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (5-7) tallied a 4-2 win on Monday night, winning their second straight game and splitting the four game series against the Lakeland Flying Tigers (5-7). 2B Pablo Reyes capped a three-run fourth inning with a two- run home run to chase Tyler Alexander (L, 0-1).
Bradenton struck first in the bottom of the second inning. RF Michael Suchy singled, stole second, and scored later in the inning on SS Kevin Newman's single. Newman finished 1-for-5 in the game, but drove in two runs.
LHP Brandon Waddell (W, 2-0) surrendered his first run of the season in the third inning. After walking Zach Shepherd to start the inning, Waddell gave up an RBI double to Curt Powell. Waddell surrendered a solo home run in the top of the fifth to Joey Pankake that cut a 4-1 lead to 4-2, but Waddell collected two of his six strikeouts to get through the inning without further damage.
RHP Miguel Rosario surrendered a double in each of his two innings, but got a line drive double play and two strikeouts to avoid trouble. RHP Luis Heredia tossed two innings to earn his first save.
