VIERA, FL - The Bradenton Marauders, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, have positioned themselves for a season sweep of the Brevard County Manatees with a 6-1 win Sunday at Space Coast Stadium. The Marauders are 7-0 against the Manatees this season.

A scoreless game until the fifth inning, Adalberto Santos broke the deadlock with a two-run single. The hit drove in the previously doubling Kelson Brown and walked Robbie Grossman. The run was Grossman's 100th of the season. The walk was his 94th. Both lead the Minor Leagues.

The sixth inning saw more Marauders offense with a one-out walk to Evan Chambers, an RBI double from Carlos Paulino and a single by Kelson Brown. The Brown single lifted Brevard County starter Tyler Thornburg after five and a third. David Rubinstein then stepped to the plate against reliever Skyler Crawford. He grounded into a fielder's choice to score Paulino and go ahead 4-1.

The final two runs for Bradenton came in the sixth with back-to-back singles by Bengie Gonzalez and Grossman. They scored on a Chambers single for a 6-1 lead.

Brett Sinkbeil picked up the win for Bradenton firing six innings of one-run ball. He allowed only five singles and no more than one in any inning. The lone Manatees run scored in the fifth when Josh Prince singled, stole his way to third and scored on a ball that got away from catcher Ramon Cabrera. The win is Sinkbeil's second of the season. He threw only 61 pitches.

Over the course of the series to this point the Marauders have outscored the Manatees 23-2. The two teams will wrap up their series Monday at 7:05 at Space Coast Stadium. Nathan Baker toes the rubber for Bradenton with radio coverage beginning at 6:50 on 1280-AM WTMY. For more information visit BradentonMarauders.com.
