Manneh's Game Winner Nabs MLS Goal of the Week
March 28, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
FC Cincinnati News Release
CINCINNATI - FC Cincinnati forward Kekuta Manneh's goal in Sunday's 2-0 win over the New England Revolution won Major League Soccer's AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 4.
Manneh won the award by claiming 41 percent of the vote, defeating LAFC's Walker Zimmerman, whose late game-winning strike from distance against Real Salt Lake grabbed 35 percent of the vote. Philadelphia Union winger David Accam's left-footed tally against Columbus Crew SC came in third place with 13 percent of the vote.
With Manneh's win, FC Cincinnati have claimed the award in consecutive weeks. Last week, Allan Cruz's backheel goal in Cincinnati's 3-0 win over the Portland Timbers edged out the competition.
FC Cincinnati return home for a match against the Philadelphia Union at Nippert Stadium on Saturday, March 30. The match will be televised locally on WSTR Star64, streamed regionally on FloSports, out of market on ESPN+ and carried on the radio on WDJO, the TuneIn app and fccincinnati.com. Season tickets, mini plans and individual-game tickets are on sale at fccincinnati.com/tickets or by calling 513-977-5425 (KICK).
