Winnipeg, MB - The Manitoba Moose announced today the team has assigned goaltender Jamie Phillips to the Tulsa Oilers (ECHL).
Phillips, 23, was the Winnipeg Jets' seventh round, 190th overall, pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The Caledonia, ON product is in his first season of pro after a four year, 99 game career at Michigan Tech. He posted a 57-26-8 record supported by a 2.00 GAA and .922.
Phillips guarded the net for the Moose in both of their pre-season games and registered a 3.68 GAA and 0.879 SV% in a pair of losses. He also played two games for the Winnipeg Jets in the Young Stars Tournament, posting a 2.31 GAA and .930 SV.
The Manitoba Moose roster sits at 29 players including 18 forwards, 9 defencemen and 2 goalies. The Moose open the 2016-17 AHL Regular Season on Friday, Oct. 14 on the road against the Iowa Wild.
