Stockton Heat News Release
STOCKTON, CALIF. - Andrew Mangiapane keeps his point streak alive with his 10th and team-leading 11th points in his last seven games as the Heat beat the Bakersfield Condors 4-3. The Heat were put on their heels early in the game but weathered the storm early as the team was outshot 13-4 in the first and surrendered the first goal of the game as the Condors scored late into a double minor to take a 1-0 lead in the first. However, the Heat found a second gear in the second period, outshooting Bakersfield 11-5 and scoring three goals courtesy of Kerby Rychel, Spencer Foo and Ryan Lomberg to take a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes. Mangiapane added his second point of the game on the power play early in the third period which would prove to be the game winner in the team's first home win of the season.
The Heat are now set to host Stick it To Cancer Night presented by Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. where the team will help raise awareness and funds for those in our community impacted by cancer through proceeds from ticket sales, specialty jerseys, silent auction, mystery puck and so much more!
