Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that the team has re-signed transition player Nick Carlson to a one-year deal, and has signed newcomers Matt MacLeod (F), Craig England (T), and Mark Farthing (D) to two-year agreements.

"With training camp opening in the not-too-distant future, we are working swiftly to ensure that all players on our roster are signed before it starts," said Mammoth President & General Manager Steve Govett. "Nick has been a constant contributor since he joined the team before the 2004 season. We are anxious to see what Matt, Craig, and Mark will do in Mammoth uniforms."

Carlson, a nine-year NLL veteran, has 48 career goals and 89 career assists. After playing his rookie year for the New York Saints in 2003, Carlson was acquired by Colorado. Since 2008, the 31-year-old has appeared in 62 of the team's 64 regular-season games.

MacLeod, acquired by the Mammoth in a July trade with the Toronto Rock, has 39 points in 39 career games. In 2011, the right-hander won a championship in Toronto, scoring a pair of goals and assisting on 12 others.

England was a 4th-round selection in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft in September, while Farthing was a 6th-round pick by the Mammoth in 2010.

Last week, the team announced several player signings. More are anticipated this week as well.

The Colorado Mammoth opens the 2012 season against the Minnesota Swarm on Saturday, January 14 at 7pm MST on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center.

Season seats are on sale now and start at just $72. Reserve your seats today at ColoradoMammoth.com or by calling 303.405.1101.
