Philadelphia Wings News Release

(TRENTON, NJ - October 10, 2011) The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), announced that they will host a preseason game against the Rochester Knighthawks at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ, on Sunday, December 11, at 1 p.m. Wings players will be available for a brief meet and greet immediately following the game.

The exhibition game will offer fans the first opportunity to see the Wings highly touted off-season acquisitions including "Dangerous" Dan Dawson, Brodie Merrill and number one draft pick Kevin Crowley.

"This exhibition contest is another step in our franchise's 'extreme makeover,'" said Wings President and Co-Owner Michael French. "Our goal is two-fold. First, bring the Champion's Camp back to where it belongs in Philly, and secondly to provide our loyal fans in the tri-state lacrosse community with the opportunity to see the 2012 Wings in action prior to the season opener."

Tickets as low as $13 go on sale Friday, October 14 at 10 am on www.ComcastTIX.com, by phone at 1-800-298-4200 or in person at the Sun National Bank Center Box Office. Group discounts are available by calling 609-656-3234. For more information, visit www.sunnationalbankcenter.com .

The Sun National Bank Center is operated and managed by Global Spectrum, which also manages Wells Fargo Center, the home arena of the Philadelphia Wings.

"We are looking forward to hosting the preseason game and working collaboratively with our colleagues at the Philadelphia Wings and Comcast-Spectacor," said Jeff Schumacher, General Manager of the Sun National Bank Center. "This is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the game of indoor lacrosse to the Mercer County community and share the exciting game-day experience that we know the Wings offer to their fans at each and every game."

Widely regarded as one of the best box lacrosse players in the world and the 2010 NLL MVP, Dawson joins the Wings and will re-unite with his younger brother Paul Dawson who is a defenseman for the team. Merrill was the 2010 NLL Transition Player of the Year with the Edmonton Rush and was acquired as part of a six-player trade that sent Wings forward Athan Iannucci to the Rush. As the only player in Stony Brook history to record 100 or more goals and assists, Crowley joins the Wings as the 2011 first overall draft pick and will be sure to bolster the team's offensive attack.

Additionally, because the Wings open their season against the Knighthawks at Wells Fargo Center on January 14, the game will provide an early barometer of how the Wings will stack up against their East Division foe in the first game of the season.
