Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards of the Central Hockey League have traded defenseman Karl Linden to the Evansville IceMen in exchange for future considerations, the Mallards announced today.

Linden, a 24-year old Sundbyberg, Sweden product, picked up one assist and posted a plus/minus rating of -2 in seven games with the Mallards. The rookie blue liner joined the Mallards after spending four seasons at Division III Elmira College.

The Mallards meet the Bloomington Blaze tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. at the i wireless Center. The first 1,000 fans through the doors for that game will receive free Mallards "quacker" noise makers. In addition, the Mallards have teamed with Operation Christmas Child to encourage fans to make gift donations at Friday night's game. Operation Christmas Child distributes small gifts to children in need throughout the world; suggested gift ideas include small toys, school supplies and hygiene items.
