Mequon, WI - June 16, 2014. The Madison Mallards (12-8) dropped game two of their doubleheader tonight against the Lakeshore Chinooks (14-6) at Kapco Park in Mequon. The Mallards offense was held to just four hits in the 2-0 loss.

The Chinooks scored their only two runs in the third inning off a single by Carter White (Memphis). Chinooks relief pitcher Luke Lowrey (Southern Mississsippi) then retired three of the four Mallards he faced in the seventh to finish a doubleheader sweep of the Mallards.

In game one of tonight's twin bill, the Mallards lost 5-4. Brett Siddall (Canisius) put the Chinooks up two in the bottom of the sixth with a two run homer, and the Mallards responded with one run in the seventh to make it 5-4 after first baseman Pete Alonso (Florida) homered to left, but Lakeshore closer Andrew Elliot (Wright State) put down the next three Mallard batters to get the save.
