Majors Announce Trade with Belleville

MISSISSAUGA - Mississauga St. Michael's Majors Head Coach and General Manager James Boyd announced a trade with the Belleville Bulls on Thursday, acquiring two second round draft picks (Kitchener's second round pick in 2012, Plymouth's second round pick in 2013) in exchange for forward Joseph Cramarossa.

Cramarossa, a 19-year-old centre from Markham, Ontario is in his third season in the OHL - all with the Majors - and has posted six goals and five assists for eleven points in 15 games played so far this season. In 171 total career games for the Majors, including playoffs and the 2011 Mastercard Memorial Cup, he has notched 26 goals and 39 assists totaling 65 points. He was selected in the third round (65th overall) to the Anaheim Ducks in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

"Joseph has been a valued member of our franchise for the past three seasons. The entire St. Michael's Majors organization wishes Joseph continued success in the future," said Boyd.

The Majors and Bulls will meet three more times during the regular season - Wednesday, January 18th at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, February 18th at 7:05 p.m. - both in Belleville - and Friday, March 2nd at 7:30 p.m. in Mississauga.

Majors next game: Friday, January 6th vs. Brampton Battalion 7:30 p.m.

Belleville Bulls next game: Friday, January 6th @ Ottawa 67's 7:30 p.m.
