Atlanta United FC News Release
ATLANTA - Major League Soccer announced the 2022 Regular Season schedule today, highlighting Atlanta United's 15 national TV matches across league-wide broadcast partners on the family of networks of ESPN, FOX and Univision. Three home matches are slated to use all three levels at Mercedes-Benz Stadium this season including the home opener on Feb. 27 vs. Sporting KC. Additional ticket information can be found here.
The remaining 19 regular season matches will be televised regionally on Bally Sports South or Bally Sports Southeast as well as the Bally Sports app with Atlanta United LIVE pre- and postgame shows before and after each match. Fans can tune into all 34 regular season matches live with official English radio partner Sports Radio 92-9 The Game and official Spanish radio partner La Mejor.
The 2022 regular season begins with two Western Conference matches against Sporting KC (Feb. 27; 3:00 p.m., FS1) and on the road at Colorado Rapids the following weekend. Atlanta is back on FS1 on Sunday, March 13 when they host expansion club Charlotte FC. The month of April features five matches, four of them on the road, highlighted by a pair of matches on ESPN at Charlotte FC (Apr. 9; 3:00 p.m.) and at Inter Miami CF (Apr. 24; 1:00 p.m.). Three of the next four matches will be at home, while the lone road match in the month of May is a short trip up the road to Nashville SC for an over-the-air contest on FOX (May 21; 7:30 p.m.).
After a three-week break at the beginning of June (May 29-June 15), Atlanta will return to action for a nationally televised match against Inter Miami CF on Sunday, June 19 (4:00 p.m., ESPN2). Then Atlanta heads on its longest road stretch of the season with the next three matches played away, including back-to-back road matches against New York Red Bulls (Thursday, June 30; TBD) and defending MLS Cup champions NYCFC (Sunday, July 3; TBD). That stretch is followed by three consecutive home matches, including the second full venue match when Austin FC comes to Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday, July 9 and an over-the-air contest against rivals Orlando City SC (July 17; 3:00 p.m., ABC).
The month of August begins with Atlanta's third full venue match against Seattle Sounders on Aug. 6 (3:00 p.m., ABC). The club's lone match on Univision comes at the end of August at home against D.C. United (Sunday, Aug. 28; 4:00 p.m.). September features road matches at Portland (Sept. 4; 5:30 p.m., FOX) and at Orlando City SC (Sept. 14; TBD).
Atlanta wraps up the regular season with two matches in October. The first one is on the road at New England (Oct. 1; 1:00 p.m., UniMas). The 2022 MLS Regular Season concludes at home for Atlanta when they host NYCFC on Decision Day, Oct. 9.
