PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Celtics today announced "Amazing Maine," a series of themed nights aimed at celebrating the various regions of the state. The multi-game theme is part of a new partnership with L.L. Bean.
"When we began to brainstorm the Amazing Maine concept, L.L. Bean immediately came to mind," said Maine Celtics Team President Dajuan Eubanks. "They are an iconic representation of the state, and we are thrilled to be partnering with L.L. Bean again."
The Celtics will highlight the State of Maine over five home games, wearing specialty L.L. Bean "Maine Hunting Plaid" patterned uniforms. The jerseys were unveiled at the first Amazing Maine game on Dec. 31 vs. Grand Rapids, which highlighted the Southern Maine region.
"Maine is amazing and so are the Maine Celtics," said L.L. Bean Community Engagement Coordinator Bill Yeo. "We are proud to be an Official Partner of the Maine Celtics and are honored to outfit them in our very own Maine Hunting Flannel."
In addition to wearing the L.L. Bean uniforms on each Amazing Maine night, the Maine Celtics will recognize regional industries, landmarks, and fans on their respective nights. Each night will also feature a giveaway item, courtesy of L.L. Bean.
