
Maine Celtics Add Russo; Kornet Joins Team USA

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Celtics, presented by Unum, announced today that the team has signed Cullen Russo from the available player pool.
Russo, a Fresno State product, was selected in the First Round (28th overall) of the 2021 NBA G League Draft. He participated in Maine Celtics Training Camp last month. Russo also took part in this season's NBA Summer League with the Minnesota Timberwolves, playing in 3 games.
Russo replaces Luke Kornet on the Maine roster, who has temporarily left the team to join Team USA for the FIBA 2023 World Cup Qualifying games. Kornet and Team USA will play two games on Nov. 28 and 29 in Mexico. He is expected to re-join the Maine Celtics upon completion of Team USA's games.
The Maine Celtics return to action Saturday at Westchester. Maine's next home game is Thursday, Dec. 16 vs. Long Island. Tickets are available by visiting MaineCeltics.com.
