JAMESTOWN JAMMERS vs. MAHONING VALLEY SCRAPPERS

LEADING OFF - The Scrappers begin a three-game series with the Jamestown Jammers tonight at Eastwood Field. Following the Jamestown series, the Scrappers will host the division leading Auburn Doubledays for two games. Mahoning Valley took three of five in Jamestown last week on a road trip that saw the team go 6-2.
SEASON SERIES - Jamestown leads 6-5. The Jammers took the first two series against Mahoning Valley and the Scrappers took the five-game series last week.
ALL-TIME SERIES - Scrappers lead 47-42
ALL-STAR UPDATE - The Scrappers were well represented at the Inaugural NYPL All-Star Game. Omar Casillas was the starting catcher and went 0-2. Jose Constanza also went 0-2 and came into the game as a replacement. Matt Fornasiere went 2-2 with an RBI double. Pitchers Joe Ness and Jensen Lewis did not pitch in the game.
HOME TROUBLES CONTINUE - The Scrappers still cannot find their groove at Eastwood Field. The team is currently 12-19 at home, which is the second worst home record in the New York-Penn League(Hudson Valley 10-18).
