Mahoning Valley Scrappers News Release
The Cleveland Indians announced today that RHP Matt Knox has been assigned to Mahoning Valley on a rehab assignment. Knox was the Scrappers closer during the 2004 season. He was on the mound for the Scrappers Wild Card clinching game against the Batavia Muckdogs; the Scrappers series win against the Auburn Doubledays and the Championship victory over the Tri-City ValleyCats. Knox began the 2005 season with the Lake County Captains (A - South Atlantic League). He was sidelined due to arm trouble.
