G League Osceola Magic

Magic Acquire Cameron Lard and Andrew Rowsey

December 16, 2019 - NBA G League (G League)
Osceola Magic News Release

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, have acquired forward Cameron Lard and guard Andrew Rowsey. In a corresponding roster move, Lakeland has waived Corey Sanders.

The Magic have been granted a medical hardship exemption because they have four injured players who have missed at least three games, which allows them to acquire Lard on their roster.

Lard (697, 244) played for Iowa State for two seasons. During his sophomore year, he played in 24 games, averaging 5.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. Lard signed a deal to play in the NBA Summer League with the Orlando Magic. He went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft making him an unrestricted free agent.

Rowsey (5-11, 180) graduated from Marquette University and led Marquette to a 21-14 record and the NIT quarterfinals in his senior season. He joined the Toronto Raptors during the 2018 NBA Summer League before heading overseas to play in the Hungarian league.

Both players will be active for the NBA G League Showcase at the MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase tournament this Thursday, December 19 versus the South Bay Lakers. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm.

Lakeland Magic single-game tickets and group tickets are available now. For ticket information, visit lakelandmagic.com or call 863.825.3258.
