
Mad Ants Kids Helping Kids Basketball Invitational

The NBA D-League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants have teamed up with Mad Anthonys Children's Hope House to present the Mad Ants Kids Helping Kids Basketball Invitational. This is the eighth year for the tournament and the first for the Mad Ants.
This year's tournament will be held on February 8-10 at Spiece Fieldhouse. The tournament features nearly 1,000 athletes both boys and girls grades 3-8 and expects a crowd of 5,000 spectators. Over 107 teams from all over Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Kentucky will be playing in this tournament.
The Mad Ants players, coaching staff, and The Mad Ant will be in attendance Saturday, February 9th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and will be available for pictures and autographs. Each participating athlete will receive a free admission to the Mad Ants home game Thursday, February 7 against the Colorado 14ers. The parents of the athletes will also receive discounted ticket prices for Thursday's game. In addition each athlete will receive an Ants' Army Kids Club Card which entitles them to a free ticket for each remaining Mad Ants home games.
The Children's Hope Hospitality House provides lodging and supportive services to families of children being treated for life threatening illnesses at any of the Fort Wayne area hospitals. The Mad Anthony Children's Hope House is the only freestanding pediatric hospitality house in northeast Indiana. The Kids Helping Kids Invitational has been the signature fundraising event for the Hope House, raising over $40,000 last year.
