Indiana Mad Ants News Release

Fort Wayne, IN (February 20, 2012) - For the second year in a row, the Mad Ants have partnered with the City of Kendallville, the Kendallville Police Department, and East Noble School Corporation to host a safety program in every elementary school within the East Noble School Corporation.

This program consist of Rob Wiley, the Kendallville Police Chief, visiting schools to lead a short assembly that teaches students in the Noble County area proper safety procedures that they face each day. Students are also introduced to the Safe Haven decal that will be distributed throughout homes and businesses in the Noble County area. At the assembly, each student will also receive a workbook and pencil. T-shirts and Mad Ants tickets to the Mad Ants game on Saturday, March 3rd which will be designated Noble County Night, will be distributed by the schools through the Character Counts Program.

"The SAFE HAVEN Program is a tremendous opportunity for the City of Kendallville and the East Noble School Corporation to join with the Mad Ants Basketball Team to promote the safety of our community's students and to provide them a chance to experience a professional basketball game all at the same time," said Wiley. "There is no more important priority for any of us than providing a safe community for our children."
