Bighorns Acquire Ernest Scott Via Three-Team Trade

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns have acquired Ernest Scott from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in a three-team trade that sent Terrance Thomas to the Canton Charge and a third round pick in the 2012 NBA D-League draft to the Vipers.

Scott (6-7, 225 lbs.) has played 136 games in the D-League over three seasons, averaging 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He previously played for Bighorns head coach Paul Mokeski during the 2009-10 season with the Vipers, where he averaged 9.9 points and 3.9 rebounds during the team's NBA D-League Championship run. He most recently played for Peristeri GS in the Greek A1 League, averaging 10.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Thomas played 30 games with the Bighorns this season, averaging 12.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists and shooting 49.1 percent from the field.

Fans can see Bighorn newcomer Scott in action as the team takes on the Idaho Stampede on Tuesday, February 21 at the Reno Events Center at 7 p.m.
