
Mad Ants Fall at Home to Spurs

FORT WAYNE, IN (December 28, 2014)- The Mad Ants, sponsored by Lutheran Health Network, fell short at home, droppingthe game to the Austin Spurs 93-106 Sunday night at Allen Co. War Memorial Coliseum.
TheMad Ants faced a slow start to the first half against the first place Spurs,scoring only 13 in the first quarter before cutting the lead to 43-60 at half.Leading the Mad Ants in the first half was Andre Emmett with 16 points and 4rebounds. Newly assigned Charlotte Hornet, Noah Vonleh saw time off the benchin the first half, while Toronto Raptor assignee, Bruno Caboclo and Gary Taltonsaw time in their home court debuts. For the Spurs, JaMychal Green lead histeam with 11 points, while Josh Davis grabbed 12 first half rebounds for his 7points.
FortWayne remained behind the entire second half, though cutting the lead as timewound down. Several Mad Ants recorded double figures, with Emmett leading theteam with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Dahntay Jones contributed 16 points. Offthe bench, Vonleh recorded 12 points and 3 rebounds in his Mad Ants debut.
Forthe Spurs, JaMychal Green finished the night with 23 points and 14 rebounds, whileJosh Davis recorded 11 points with 15 rebounds. Off the bench, Orlando Johnson contributed19 points.
TheMad Ants will be back in action Tuesday, December 30th and ThursdayJanuary 1st as they host Oklahoma City for two 7:00 pm tip-offs withthe Blue.
